Thursday, 'sup?
The laundry room and all the rugs are dry. Woohoo!!
Left for DH's Dr. appt, no fan for the AC!! Holy crap! It's 100* out there. The AC works, just not the fan, so we used the old 255 method. Two windows open at 55 MPH!
Took the car right to our mechanic. He verified it's the fan. Plus, since we are having work done my DH decided we needed new spark plugs, brakes checked, oil change, transmission checked and flushed (?), a new serpentine belt and lord only knows what else! They can do it tomorrow. My DH seems to have forgotten we just sent $7000 to our daughter. Oh well, it's only money! But, he is right, if I'm gonna be driving to NY to see my Sissy, the car better be sound!!
My Sis is waiting for a consult with the surgical cardiologist, and then she'll know when they will fix her heart valve.
I called our DIL to ask if they could follow me to the mechanic to drop my car. She said they were broken down on the side of the road with their new dryer in the back of the truck! When it rains, it pours! But I didn't have to go sit in their truck with my AAA card. They got going again.

We just dropped the car at the mechanic and my DIL brought me home. He will call mid morning-ish to tell me what and how much? Yikers!

We are having a big old thinderstorm again this afternoon. Third day in a row! I love the sound of the rain, but I have to admit I'm getting a little tired of it!

Hi my OFF family:
I'm on here late ... I had an appointment this morning for my annual bloodwork for my bariatric checkup. A little late, but had to get the required list from Grand Health Partners in Michigan, then have them fax it to my doc here. I had to do this fasting, so I left first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything bu****er.
Then, after the blood draw, I went out to breakfast, then to the bank, shopping, etc. I was so tired after that, I've just been sitting here with ice packs on my knees, neck and back and drinking water. I'm so hot, too. It's 91 here ... still hot but not as bad as it was last week at least. I would have done something else today, but just don't have the energy. Plus, my knee hurts a lot.
Carolyn, glad everything is dry. Hope the a/c gets straightened out. I hate when things aren't working.
I looked at an apartment yesterday ... nice place. I could get a 3-bdroom for $695 ... all utilities but electric and cable ... huge living room. The third bdrm is more like a den (I was calling it the cat room). It's a smaller complex, 72 units, the manager was very nice, very involved. It's definitely one of my top three places. Not too far from where I am now (just around the corner from my eye doc).
Well, not much else happening. Just sitting here trying to cool off. Have a good day.

Ill bring up the rear today. Carl and I are in Chigago visitingour daughter. I am very tired. We went to the nature museam today and the conservatory. We had to park about a mile away to get street parking and it was free today. Soi did a lot of walking. abolut 3 miles. it was a plesure to see such beautiful flowers and I wasnt winded.... Nothing hurting!!!!!
yesterday we went to Lincoln park Zoo. I hadnt been there for about 25 years.
not many of the animals were out. but did a lot of walking.
Out time in chicago is comming to an end. We are going on home on Saturday. I havnt been home since may 23rd. Ill be home for about 2 weeks then probably coming back to Chicago for about 6 days fro my nephews 5th birthday. Im bringing my 5 yr old cousin with me. he wants to meet his up north cousins.

Glad you are enjoying Chicago! Too bad the animals weren't out at the zoo. I think they are trying to cool off like us humans. Just chilling...or trying to.
I'll be off for 5 days so you won't see any posts from me. Saturday is the BD party for the grandkids Remi who is 6 and Loulabelle who is now a big 2! They grow up so fast.
After the party I think we will take off to Mackinac and stay with my BIL and his lovely bride who I fixed him up with. It will be nice just to get away and watch the ships go by. Their place is right across the lake from Mackinac Island and you can see the bridge too. BIL is fixing up his big boat but he also has a Whaler boat that zooms. I like swimming off his shore too, there is a big rock you can swim up over on and then stand up on it and your part way out of the water, then you dive off the rock on the other side cuz it's deep. Oh yeah...I'm going swimming every day.
Then I'll sit back and read my books and sun myself.
I know how to relax, hubby doesn't and I bet he will end up cutting down some trees with his brother.
